I have numerous large scans so that you can read the manufacture's information on the CD, and Books. I am hoping the images will address all questions as I am not very knowledgeable of the embroidery unit and software. * * * NEVER USED * * *Some software is still factory sealed. I unwrapped the plastic on CD case so that I can scan both the outside of the CD cover and the contents inside. |

. It's not really relevant to the items up for auction but who knows ...it might make you smile.
OK, so you may wonder how did I come to own this wonderful embroidery unit that I am now putting up for auction ... Here's the story. A while back, I was in the middle of a sewing commission, my beloved Singer sewing machine decided to up and die on me. Yes, of course it had to be right in the middle of a job! I went to my husband in tears and told him what happened. I wanted to get the doll outfit done in time for the client's birthday. Well, my loving husband (software engineer) remembered that the Bernina sewing machine could be hooked up to the computer so that it could embroider my own designs. He decided I should also make my own custom fashion labels with the embroidery unit. He sent me down to Berninia to get a new sewing machine to replace my deceased Singer. He wanted me to purchase a new sewing machine AND the embroidery unit with software. I did not want to spend a huge amount of money on the embroidery unit because I didn't think I would have a need for it. I'm kinda frugal and sensible that way. And I would have to make a huge, huge amount of doll fashions to even come close to offset the cost. So I came home with just my new Bernina sewing machine. I did not get the embroidery module. Ohhhhh .... BIG mistake on my part. My ever loving husband got upset that I did not get the embroidery unit. Not only that, but he Ordered me, as if he were still an Air Force Officer, to go right back to the store and purchase it. I said " I don't NEED it' , Went upstairs and finished my commission job. Did he yell? Nope, worse (not to mention the vein that bulged on his forehead. I think his blood pressure went up too, but I'm not a professional nurse so I couldn't say for sure.) So what torment did I get?? I got the silent treatment and tension you could cut with a knife. This was the start of my husband's and my FIRST and only argument. It lasted a whole week. After a week of this tension filled cold shoulder treatment I decided I would go buy the darn embroidery unit so that my husband would get his head out of his .... awwwwmmmmmm ... well, you know where. So yeah, I caved in. I let him win. (hangs head in shame). It just wasn't worth the all the stress. I told him I would go get it. He did one of those happy man dances to the same caliber as the winning touchdown in the Super bowl. (rolls eyes) ... men! I fell in love with the Artista sewing machine but as per my prediction, I did not use the embroidery unit. Lesson learned from this experience:
BTW ... anyone know of a good husband school that takes PayPal? I still have hope for him. |

| PS ... we have not had another argument in 10 years. As winning that argument cost him thousands of dollars. My dear husband has since learned that I am logical, organized, practical, frugal and most important ... I only open my mouth when I know I'm right. Something along the line of "it is better to have others think you are a fool then to open your mouth and confirm it." |

| P.S.S.
-- Yes, my husband knows that I have put this up for auction.
He hung his head in shame and mumbled something incoherent when I asked if
he would mind that I put the embroidery unit up for auction. I think
its just a reminder that "winning" our first argument cost him
a pretty penny.
In retrospect, maybe I should have learned to use the embroidery unit. Then I could have embroidered my husband's underwear with ... "my wife is always right" That would definitely make him laugh. |
Thank you for your patience with the large graphic and my little bit of personal history.
Happy bidding and God bless.
